How does American Finance protect my personal information?

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes—information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for non-affiliates to market to you

Definitions

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and non-financial companies.

  • Our affiliates include financial companies involved in consumer finance.

Non-affiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and non-financial companies.

  • Non-affiliate Finance Service Providers: direct mail marketers, companies selling consumer products, law enforcement agencies, regulatory authorities, and those with legal authority.

Joint marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

  • Our joint marketing partners include reputable companies for the purpose of informing you about products and/or services they offer.
